Shilpi Banerjee
B.A.Hons,M.Phil(Univ. of Delhi, India),MPP(Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy NUS, Singapore)
Shilpi earned her Bachelors (B.A.Hons) and M.Phil in political science from the University of Delhi, India. She did her second Masters in public policy from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore. Before joining ACRC Shilpi worked with the Centre on Asia and Globalisation, Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy where she did research work related to topics like corporate social responsibility, transparency issues etc. During the course of her study at NUS she spent three months at the Institute of Policy Studies, Singapore, where she was researching the digital divide in Singapore. Shilpi has also served as faculty in the department of political science at Gargi College, University of Delhi for three years. Along with teaching at Delhi University she was involved in various research projects with DCRC, University of Delhi and a World Bank-funded study on "Decentralisation of Education in India".
 
Jeroen van den Berg
BSc., MSc. (Univ. of Amsterdam), LLM (Univ. of Hong Kong)

Before moving to Hong Kong, Jeroen was a manager at a medical publishing and conference management firm. He also worked in accounting and wealth management. In Hong Kong, he ran his own business before joining the ACRC. Jeroen studied economics at the University of Amsterdam and corporate and financial law at the university of Hong Kong.

Jeroen is the manager of the ACRC.

 
Richard Farmer
B.A. (Univ. of Waterloo, Canada), M.A. (Univ. of Leeds, UK), M.B.A. (Univ. of Hong Kong)

Richard earned his B.A. in history from the University of Waterloo in Canada, an M.A. in Asia-Pacific studies from the University of Leeds in the UK and recently an M.B.A. from the University of Hong Kong. He has professional experience in wealth management operations and IT services. Research interests include strategy development, market entry, business expansion, marketing and crisis management.

 
Emily Ho
B.B.A. (Simon Fraser University, Canada), M.A. (California State Univ.)

Emily received her B.B.A. degree in marketing and finance from the Simon Fraser University in Canada and a Masters degree in communications (public relations and advertising) from the California State University, Fullerton. Before joining ACRC, Emily was a senior research analyst with several multi-national companies, providing research analyses and strategic consulting in the areas of the Chinese market, supply chain management, logistics, online marketing and knowledge management.

 
Dr. Minyi Huang
B.A. Hons (Univ. of Central Lancashire, UK), M.Sc., Ph.D. (London School of Economics)

Minyi obtained her M.Sc. and Ph.D. in information systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). She also holds a diploma in international business from the Guangzhou Institute of Foreign Languages (China), a B.A. in English for international business from the University of Central Lancashire (UK) and an LSE postgraduate diploma in accounting and finance (UK). Before joining ACRC, she worked for the Complexity Research Programme and the Information Systems Department at the LSE, the WestmARC at the University of Westminster and a trading company in London, among others.

 
Havovi Joshi
B.A. (Univ. of Delhi, India), MBA (Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India)

Havovi received her B.A degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi, and Masters in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad in India. After completing her MBA, Havovi worked for nine years in a leading international bank in India and Australia. She then moved into the consultancy and training field, where she spent another eight years working with executives and graduate students in Mauritius and India, focusing on Organization Behavior and leadership. Havovi expects to complete her PhD in Leadership & Mastery of Change from the Thierry Graduate School of Leadership, Brussels, by July 2009. Her major research interests include leadership, change management, expatriates and cross-cultural studies.

 
Ricky Lai
B.A. (Univ. of Chicago)

After completing a B.A. in economics at the University of Chicago, Ricky returned to Hong Kong to join a quasi-government organisation tasked with promoting Hong Kong's external trade, where he participated in staging some of the largest trade events in Asia and around the world. He subsequently moved into advertising at the South China Morning Post, followed by a tenure in Asian shipping equity research at Lehman Brothers. His prior academic research background was in airline alliance. On top of his native English and Chinese, Ricky also manages elementary Japanese, French and Italian.

 
Josephine Lau
B.A., M.Phil. (Univ. of Hong Kong)

Initially trained in mass media, Josephine was a marketing practitioner serving multinational companies in a regional capacity in Hong Kong. Industries served include media, hotels, consumer electronics and semiconductors. Recently, she returned to campus and obtained a BA and an MPhil degree from the University of Hong Kong prior to joining ACRC.

 
Andrew Lee
B.B.A., B.A. (Univ. of Texas at Austin), M.Sc. (Hong Kong Polytechnic Univ.)

Andrew received his B.B.A. in management of information systems and his B.A. in geography from the University of Texas at Austin; he got his M.Sc. (with distinction) in geo-information systems from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. After a number of years in the aviation industry, he joined ACRC in June 1998. Andrew's main research areas include strategy and competitiveness, e-Business and information systems management.

 
Karen Lee
B.A. (Univ. of California, Berkeley), MBA (Univ. of New South Wales, Australia)

Karen received her B.A degree in Economics from the University of California, Berkeley in the U.S. and Master degree in Business Administration from Australian Graduate School Management at the University of New South Wales, Australia. Karen has over ten years of project financing experience with major US and European banks as well as the Australian government. She then assumed a senior managerial position to start up a logistics business for a local corporation, where she later became a member of the Board of Director. Karen is completing her Doctorate in Business Administration with the University of Newcastle, Australia. Her major research interests include leadership, knowledge management and organisational behaviour.

 
Grace Loo
B.A. (College of Wooster), M.A. (Indiana Univ.)

Grace Loo holds a B.A. in international relations and an M.A. in journalism from the United States. She worked in media both as a reporter and in a commercial context before moving into the fashion industry. She was a Reuters Fellow at Oxford University in 2001.

 
Dr. Carola Ramon-Berjano
B.A. (Universidad del Salvador, Argentina), M.A. (CEMA, Argentina), M.Sc., Ph.D. (Univ. of London)

Carola has a degree in economics from the Universidad del Salvador and a Masters in economics from CEMA (both in Buenos Aires, Argentina). She then moved to the UK where she obtained an M.Sc. in economics with reference to Latin America at the University of London. Carola has recently finished her Ph.D. in economics at the Institute for Latin American Studies (University of London). Carola's main research areas include regional economic disparities, integration schemes and Latin American and European policies.

 
Linda Suen
B.A. (Univ. of Virginia), M.B.A. (Thunderbird)

Linda received her B.A. in history from the University of Virginia and M.B.A. in international management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management. She has over 10 years of experience in sales, marketing and consulting in high tech and professional services. She also has eight years of teaching experience and ran her own business. Linda has worked and lived in the U.S., Japan, Germany, China, Hong Kong and is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese.

 
Samuel Tsang
B.Sc. (Boston Univ.), P.G.Dip. (Univ. of London), M.A. (Tufts Univ.)

Sam obtained his B.Sc. in systems engineering from Boston University, his Masters in international relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University (US) and his P.G.Dip. in organisational behaviour from the University of London. His research interests include business strategy in technology enterprises, entrepreneurship and globalisation of corporations. In addition, Sam is an experienced strategy and marketing consultant serving clients in the higher education, non-profit organisation, government and commercial sectors.

 
Hong Iris Wang, CFA
B.A. (Nankai Univ., China), M.B.A. (UCLA Anderson School of Management, USA)

Iris is a CFA charter holder and has over 15 years of experience in investment management and investment banking. Besides writing cases for ACRC in her part time, Iris supervises the asset management and corporate advisory businesses at a local financial institution in Hong Kong. Her research interests include competitive advantages of firms, China strategies, and art business management.

Iris's case, "Shanghai Volkswagen: Time for A Radical Shift of Gears", won the first prize in the 24th Concordia MBA International Case Competition.

 
Dr. Claudia H.L. Woo
B.A. (Univ. of Strathclyde, UK), M.Sc. (Robert Gordon Univ., UK), Ph.D. (Cardiff Univ., UK)

Claudia received her B.A. degree in accounting and marketing and M.Sc. degree in management from universities in Scotland, UK. Before pursuing her Ph.D., she worked as a lecturer at Multimedia University in Malaysia in the fields of marketing and consumer behaviour. She was awarded a Ph.D. from the Cardiff University, UK, in 2006. Claudia's major research interests include company advertising with a social dimension, corporate social responsibility, business ethics and cross-cultural studies.
