Participants Selection

Participants need to be full-time undergraduate students at the invited
university in the 2011/2012 academic year.
¡P
Students
who have participated in previous edition of the competition are not eligible
for participation.

Computers
are NOT allowed.
¡P
PDAs and
all other electronic memory devices are NOT allowed.
¡P
Laser
pointer and similar presentation devices are NOT allowed.
¡P
Reference
material is NOT allowed.
¡P
Mobile
phones and all mobile communication devices need to be switched off during
preparation and presentation sessions.
¡P
Participants should at all times follow the instructions of the student
ambassadors and organising committee.
¡P
Participants should observe and obey these rules at all times.
¡P
Participants should ensure they reach all venues in a timely manner.
¡P
If in
doubt, participants should consult a member of the organising committee.
¡P
Participants are expected to be present at the presentation venue 5 minutes
before the start of their presentations. Presentations start exactly at the
scheduled time.
¡P
No
additional time will be provided if teams are late for their presentation. If
teams have not started the presentation 10 minutes after the scheduled time the
team will automatically forfeit.
¡P
In case
one team member is sick or otherwise unable to participate the team can continue
as a team of 3. A team that has less than 3 members has to forfeit.
¡P
Team
members that have not participated in at least one presentation are not eligible
for any prize or certificate of participation.
¡P
Each team
member is expected to participate in the presentation and the question and
answer session.
Participants will be provided with:
¡P
overhead
acetates .
¡P
one set of
markers for overhead acetates in 3 colours.
¡P
one set of
whiteboard markers in 3 colours.
¡P
calculators and rulers, pens and pencils, plain paper and cue cards.
¡P
cash
coupons for lunch and free refreshments throughout the day.
Teams who
fail to comply with competition rules may be disqualified.
