The Trade and Industry Department small and medium enterprise (SME) Case Series project leverages the strengths and expertise of the University of Hong Kong Asia Case Research Centre (previously CABC) to develop a series of business case studies. These cases are specifically aimed at helping SMEs identify the challenges and opportunities they face in today's business environment and how these may be overcome or taken advantage of. This project, funded by the Trade and Industry Department's SME Development Fund, began in January 2003 and will continue for a period of two years. A series of Best Practice case studies are being produced and made available to SMEs, business associations and business students of tertiary and vocational education establishments. They are intended to provoke SMEs to pursue new approaches to doing business and identify means by which they can increase their competitiveness on the national and global stage. Please click for details of SME cases that are currently available. As the case series will consist of no fewer than 30 case studies, we invite you to visit this site frequently to view new titles.
